MCNFriday is once again tugging on our brains, luring us into the weekend… What are your plans for this weekend? Care to add a little bit of health justice reading into the mix? Here are a few recommendations from MCN staff.

1. Del, Director of International Projects, Research, and Development, sent back this report from the William T. Grant Foundation, which she discovered while at a conference this week: “Intersecting Inequalities: Research to Reduce Inequality for Immigrant-Origin Children and Youth.”

2. Alma, Health Network Associate, passed along to us this article entitled, “Why men should worry about the Zika virus,” that she read in the Austin American-Statesman.

3. Theressa, Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator, recommends HOP’s upcoming governance webinar entitled, “Using Outreach Data to Support Health Center Board Engagement,” on Tuesday, March 8, at 11am Pacific.

4. Del thought actor and author Anthony Bourdain and Miami chef José Andrés gave interesting answers to the question, “What’s the most important food-industry issue nobody is talking about?

5. Amy, Director of Environmental and Occupational Health, offered the Center for Public Integrity’s series on industry-backed scientific research, entitled, “Science for Sale.”

Have a healthy and safe weekend.
