Take MCN’s 2020 Poll: What Is Changing for Immigrant & Migrant Patients?

ICE raids. Public charge. Rhetoric around immigration. In the last three years, clinicians who have taken MCN’s annual poll have confirmed that forces outside of the clinic interrupt health care access for immigrant and migrant patients. For some, fear and anxiety has driven patients to avoid getting the care they need. For others, policy and enforcement have directly limited access to care. How does COVID-19 factor into immigrant and migrant access to health care and perception of health care? What has changed in the last year? What has changed in the last month?

In our fourth annual poll, Migrant Clinicians Network asks clinicians of all types to answer a short list of questions to fill in the picture. It is open to any US-based clinician, including health promoters, outreach workers, and community health workers. It is open to first-time poll takers as well as those who have taken our poll in the past. We estimate that it will take you about four to eight minutes to complete.

The poll is available in English and Spanish.

Previous polls have been cited by media outlets like the New York Times and Washington Post. It’s an opportunity for migrant clinicians to voice their concerns and/or their achievements for the health and well-being of their immigrant and migrant patients at this moment in history.

Please take our poll -- and pass it on to your colleagues.
