Amanda van Vulpen (she/her/ella) was born and raised on the Eastern Shore of the Delmarva peninsula, where Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia meet. She is a third-year student at Salisbury University pursuing a dual major in Nursing and Spanish. Over the last few years, she has gained experience in a wide variety of clinical and health education settings, including in pharmacy, hospital, and as a peer health educator at her university. Van Vulpen joined MCN as an intern to blend her passions for health care, health promotion, and Spanish. In the future, van Vulpen plans to pursue graduate education to become a nurse practitioner with a focus on serving marginalized populations. When not at school or work, van Vulpen enjoys reading, practicing yoga, gardening, and spending time with friends and family.
