Noel D. Hernández Otero (he/his/él) is an Evaluation Specialist at Migrant Clinicians Network. He received a bachelor’s degree in Recreation at the University of Puerto Rico, after which he worked as a recreation specialist in Senior Living Centers for two years. He then pursued a master's degree in Sciences with a specialty in Evaluative Research of Health Systems at the Graduate School of Public Health of the Medical Sciences Campus. As a graduate student, Noel worked on qualitative and quantitative studies with vulnerable populations with substance use disorders. Since graduating, Hernández has worked as an evaluation specialist in projects aimed at the personal management of diabetes, chronic pain management, and prevention of overdose deaths and proper use of Naloxone. As part of the role of the evaluator in these projects, Hernández has worked with logic models, evaluation plans, progress reports, development of data collection instruments, and dissemination of results to the community and stakeholders, among other tasks. In his free time, Hernández likes to play basketball, watch sports, read, go to the beach, and spend time with his family.
